Bill Gates Plans To Donate Nearly All of His Wealth By 2045

Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, is one of the wealthiest people in the world. He’s appeared on Forbes’ World’s Billionaires List many times and held the title of the world’s richest man for a record 18 years. His net worth reached $129 billion in 2022 and remains at $115.1 billion as of May 2025.

Recently, Gates announced plans to give away 99.96% of his fortune through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. So far, he has donated around $100 billion and plans to give another $200 billion over the next 20 years.

What’s surprising is that even after giving away nearly all his money, the remaining amount would still make him a billionaire ? showing just how massive his fortune is.

Gates said being rich makes life more comfortable but not more meaningful. He believes real happiness comes from helping others. His goal isn’t just to give away money but to solve global problems and encourage other billionaires to do the same.
