World Joins in Prayer for Pope Francis’ Health0Pope Francis, 88, remains in critical condition at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital, receiving treatment for double pneumonia. His health has been a concern since his admission on Feb. 14 after experiencing breathing difficulties. The Vatican has confirmed the pope is responding to medication, though his condition remains delicate.

On Feb. 23, the pope shared a message thanking doctors and health workers, as well as well-wishers who sent prayers and drawings, particularly the children. He expressed gratitude for the messages of affection and asked for continued prayers, entrusting his health to the intercession of Mary.

The Vatican updated on March 4, stating that Pope Francis is stable but “not out of danger.” He continues to receive high-flow oxygen therapy and non-invasive ventilation, a precaution to ease his breathing. The pontiff spent March 4 resting and praying, receiving the Eucharist in the morning.

Pope Francis has also called for peace in Ukraine and other conflict zones, remembering the victims of armed conflict worldwide.
