PlayStation Network Outage Disrupts Gaming for 20 Hours0The PlayStation Network (PSN) experienced a widespread outage over the weekend, affecting online services for nearly 20 hours. The disruption, which began on Feb. 7 around 6:30 p.m. EST, left gamers unable to access popular titles such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, Roblox, and Marvel Rivals. Sony acknowledged the issue in a Feb. 7 post, stating it was “aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN.” However, the company provided limited updates, drawing criticism from the gaming community.

The outage also impacted the beta version of Monster Hunter Wild and a double XP event for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Players reported regaining access by the afternoon of Feb. 8, with the PlayStation status page confirming systems were fully operational by the evening.

To address the disruption, Sony apologized and offered compensation. PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional five days of service. The Marvel Rivals development team also pledged to work with PlayStation to restore functionality. In a lighthearted gesture, Krispy Kreme offered free Original Glazed Donuts to affected gamers.
