To stay together, sea otters hold hands while they sleep. This way, they do not float away from each other. It looks like they are hugging!
Sometimes, a group of sea otters will hold hands to form a big “raft.” This helps them stay safe and warm.
Sea otters also wrap seaweed around their bodies to stay in one place while they rest.
