Kim began his career in 2016 with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors’ youth team. He signed his first professional contract in 2021 and made his debut later that year. In 2023, Kim joined Gimcheon Sangmu FC on loan. In 2024, he started 33 matches, earned 15 clean sheets, and made 63 saves across two teams in the K League 1.
