Kim Gil-li is a South Korean short-track speed skater who started skating in 2010. Inspired by the figure skater Kim Yuna, she originally wanted to do figure skating but switched to short track because no classes were available. By age 11, she was competing in short-track races. In the fourth event of the 2024-2025 ISU Short Track World Tour, Kim won gold in the 2,000-m mixed relay and the women’s 1,000-m race. She also won gold in the women’s 1,500 m at the first event of the season.
