How Do Clouds Make Snow?

How Do Clouds Make Snow?0Clouds make snow in winter. But do you know how?

Clouds are made of tiny water drops or ice crystals. When the temperatures drop below freezing, the water in the air turns into ice. These ice crystals stick together to form snowflakes. The snowflakes grow bigger as they fall to the ground. Interestingly, snowflakes come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. No two snowflakes are ever alike.

Snow starts piling up if the ground is also below freezing. If not, the snowflakes melt when they reach the ground.

Let’s all hope for a white Christmas!
