U.S. Daylight Saving Time

U.S. Daylight Saving Time0The United States ended daylight saving time on Nov. 3 at 2 a.m. Clocks “fell back” by one hour, giving people an extra hour of sleep.

People adjust their clocks twice a year: once in spring when clocks “spring forward” and once in fall when they “fall back” to standard time. Daylight saving time helps save energy by giving people more daylight during the longer days of spring and summer.

While some states like Hawaii and Arizona did not follow daylight saving time, most parts of the country changed their clocks. Millions of Americans had to turn their clocks back by one hour before going to bed.
